Career and Technical Education Pathways
The Kansas State Department of Education’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Career Clusters and Work-Based Learning Continuum has been used as a model to organize intentional paths of study for all students in 8th-12th grades in what we have named The Academies of Piper High School. Each Academy will have several sector options with sequential coursework for a more focused, purposeful Individual Plan of Study for every student. Every sector will have embedded MVA opportunities with a culminating Capstone Experience that allows for application of the technical and employability skills gained within these career-focused paths.

Kansas has statewide articulation agreements with post-secondary programs to ease the transition from high school CTE Pathways to the corresponding postsecondary program. Any Kansas high school graduate who meets the requirements of an articulation agreement may utilize the agreement to obtain college credit, scholarships, tuition waivers, and/or other benefits as stated in each agreement. If you have questions regarding the state articulation agreements or your status in your CTE pathway, please contact your counselor who will collaborate with the District CTE Coordinator to answer any questions.
