At Piper Middle School, we know students are at a turning point—full of curiosity, questions, and talent ready to be explored. That’s why real-world learning is at the heart of everything we do. Through Future Ready projects, design thinking challenges, and hands-on career experiences, students begin to connect what they’re learning in class to the world beyond our walls. Academy Prep and PLTW courses let students try out different career pathways, while partnerships with local professionals and field trips bring those careers to life. By the time they step onto the Ignite stage for their capstone presentations, they’ve reflected on their strengths, practiced their communication skills, and taken real steps toward who they want to be. Along the way, students build on their elementary Agilities and grow their Portrait of a Graduate competencies—like resilience, collaboration, and critical thinking—so they’re ready for high school and beyond.
